graphology is a library for working with graphs in javascript and typescript. not drawing them, just holding them: nodes, edges, and whatever attributes you hang on them.
it supports directed, undirected and mixed graphs, and it comes with a big standard library on top: shortest paths, metrics, community detection, and layouts like ForceAtlas2.
it's built by Guillaume Plique at the Sciences Po médialab (github), and it's what sigma.js reads from when it draws.
on this site it shows up twice. at build time it holds the notes and links while ForceAtlas2 lays them out. in the browser it holds the same graph again so sigma can draw it. more on that in How I Built the Graph.
